Artist Statement

Q: What have you learned this quarter about yourself in regards to taking pictures or about digital photography/photoshop in general?
A: I've learned that I can create deep meaning of photos when one isn't created by the artist. I have a creative mind when it comes to that. I've learned how to use photoshop and learn new photography techniques.
Q: What are your goals in the future in regards to photography?
A: I plan on learning more about photoshop and saving money to buy a new camera. I really enjoy photography and capturing the moment.
Q: Tell how your interest in photography began.
A: I didn't become interested in photography until I took Photography 1 during my sophomore year. I learned I had many interesting ideas to create. When we had critques I noticed works of others and fed off their styles to create my own.

Andy Goldsworthy

Andy Goldsworty had already been one of my favorite artists before watching the movie. I think his work is very inspiring. I had already known that he related his work with life. It was helpful for him to explain that while working he is connecting with each material of nature he uses; it gave me a better understanding of him as a artist. It also shows how passionate he is about his work. I envy his patience when creating his art work. He says how each work grows, stays, and decays...like life. His photographs cature his work in a living sense.
